THEATER REVIEW An oddly satisfying 'Lobster' Noah Wylie plays the great Salvador Dali as matchmaker in this screwball comedy.
By Charles McNulty, Times Staff Writer
Only history could be so surreal: In 1946, Salvador Dali spent six weeks at Walt Disney Studios hanging out with a young animator working on "Alice in Wonderland." Enticed by this tantalizing footnote in the artist's biography, playwright Kira Obolensky invents a theatrical dream world in which the man who famously envisioned melting clocks helps (in his signature boundary-blurring way) a reluctant couple melt into each other.
Not surprisingly, "Lobster Alice," which opened Saturday at the Blank Theatre Company's 2nd Stage Theatre with actor Noah Wyle transforming himself into the flamboyantly self-dramatizing painter, is an invitation for the most delightful visual whimsy. Treated as a hallucinatory screwball comedy by Blank artistic director Daniel Henning, the production opens a portal to a wonderland that, like a Dali canvas, grows more troubling as its deranged details come into view.

From Los Angeles Time
By playing the surrealist in the comedy 'Lobster Alice' at his home stage, Noah Wyle picks up his post-'ER' career.
By Diane Haithman, Times Staff Writer
COUNT four red plastic lobsters — three on the floor, one on a table. Human beings sharing space with the scattered sea creatures speak of giant eyeballs, jellyfish and squirrels. Also curious: on one wall, there is a clock that runs counterclockwise. The "11" is where the "1" should be; 2 is 10 and 10 is 2. The face of the clock features the White Rabbit from "Alice in Wonderland."
"The mechanism is actually running backward. If you look at the clock in a mirror, it is telling time the right way," says Daniel Henning, artistic director of the Blank Theatre Company. "The way we look at things is just a little twisted." The clock will not be part of the set during the show, but will be hung backstage to keep the actors in an off-kilter frame of mind.

Hey all, I'm new here but came across this bit of news earlier this week... Best of luck to Noah & co!
>>>Noah Wyle & Wife Have a Baby Girl

Former ER star Noah Wyle and his wife, Tracy, welcomed their second child, daughter Auden, in Los Angeles on Saturday, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
"Mom and baby are doing great," Eddie Michaels, a rep for the actor, tells PEOPLE. "Everyone is thrilled."
The little girl, whose name is inspired by the poet W. H. Auden, weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. She joins brother Owen Strausser Wyle, who turns 3 on Nov. 9.
Wyle, 34, who played Dr. John Carter on ER for 11 years, and his wife, 37, a former makeup artist, met in 1996 on the Bethel, Maine, set of his movie The Myth of Fingerprints. They wed in California's Santa Ynez Valley in May 2000.
One of few cast members who had remained on ER since its 1994 debut, Wyle said goodbye to the show at the end of last season.

I just watched The Library: Quest For The Spear and it was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. If it wasn't for Noah, I would've never sat through it! This community is pretty dead :(

Greetings all,
I just found this group via a friend, so I wanted to say hi and pass along some "stuff".
I run the Noah Wyle Multimedia Archives site (which is badly behind, but I'm working on making it back up to date). And I love ER and Stargate SG-1.
I noticed someone asked for screencaps from "The Librarian". I have over 300 at my site. The quality is so so. And I'm working on redoing them, as I got a new capture card for xmas.
But here's the link:

Also, I made some Librarian Icons. They are posted on my LJ here
Credit is always appreciated and comments welcome!
Great to see a NW group. I'm glad I got steered here.

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find screencaps from The Librarian? I want to make an icon using a picture from the movie.

Hey, I'm new to the community and just have to say how incredibly stupid I am for not watching ER sooner, it's incredible!!! Since I missed all the seasons except the previous ones, I'm watching the entire life of the show played out in reruns....unfortunately, today started a new season, I'm not sure which, but Kelli Martin plays Lucy Knight, a third year med student starting her ER rotation and I was wondering if she hooks up with Carter? Also, I've only been watching for a little while but so far Carter has been with that baby surgeon lady, dunno what her name was, and had a crush on Del Amico, but she left all of a sudden, and where did Jeannie go???
By the way, over all the seasons, can anyone give me the rundown as to who Carter has been with? Thanks...lol
